BAMBOO EXPOS
Several times a year we hold special "Bamboo Expos" to educate and entertain the public. This is a fantastic opportunity to view our gardens and with have hours of entertainment as well as lovely gardens to stroll through. There is so much to see and do over the Expo including guided tours of the gardens with Australia's bamboo expert, Rick Warwick, who will answer all your questions.
Penny the Panda will also be roaming the grounds to entertain the kids when they aren't spending time in the maze.
You can participate in our authentic Thai cooking demonstration and learn some wonderful recipes using bamboo shoots.
Marvel at the bamboo choppings skills of the Mudo martial arts swordsmen.
Learn how to meditate in our quiet meditation garden with an expert.
TWILIGHT TOURS
To help landscapers choose the best bamboos for their gardens, Bamboo Down Under has “Twilight Tours” twice a year. The Nursery and Garden Industry is forever changing and our Twilight Educational tours are the perfect way to educate others in the industry not only about how to use bamboo, but also about new species. We find that most of our guests on the tour are amazed by the screening potential of bamboo.
Bamboo Down Under holds its Twilight Tours at their Wongawallan Nursery on the Gold Coast and all within the horticulture industry are encouraged to attend.
Bamboo Down Under has set up magnificent gardens showcasing many wonderful varieties of Bamboo in their full glory. Mature screens, hedges and magnificent feature plants are located all over the property, displaying what your customers can expect when choosing to use bamboo. When next asked to create a screen or hedge - think outside the square. Look to use something that will create a lasting impression, peaceful environment and something that is different from the neighbours. Clumping bamboo is a great alternative to traditional screening plants and has many great features.
