Cordyline Red Sensation features deep red foliage all year round. It has thin, long hardy leaves that branch off the main stem. It is a very hardy plant and is quite drought tolerant once established.
Uses: Cordyline Red Sensation is fantastic to use as a garden filler or as feature colour. It looks great as the taller feature with underplanting to fill in the 'bare stem' look. It looks great accompanied by philodendron xanadu, yukkas or agaves for the modern structured, architectural look.
Planting: Cordyline Red Sensation prefers full sun but can grow in semi-shade. Regular deep watering is essential to establish cordylines, however this is a drought tolerant one when established. Red Sensation likes a well draining, high nutrient soil with added compost to grow well in. For the best results, fertilise with quarterly slow release fertiliser and trim off older foliage.
